The gruesome senseless murder and rape of Uyinene Mrwetyana saw a series of campaigns from various groups and communities across the country. The campaigns were aimed at highlighting the plight that some women in South Africa suffer at the hands of men.
The campaigns called for mass activism against abuse, murder and rape of our women, this call also touched the employees of Interstate Bus Lines. A group of employees including members of management took the call and made their symbolic gesture of support against abuse of women and children at the hands of their partners and abusive men.
