Bloemfontein: On Monday morning, 30 November 2020, at around 05h45, Interstate Bus Lines (IBL) were made aware of a bus accident on the N8 near Bloemfontein. This accident involved one of the IBL buses en route to the city and a third-party vehicle.
A VW Polo allegedly crashed into an Interstate Bus Lines Bus from behind. The IBL bus was empty. Unfortunately, the driver of the VW Polo vehicle lost his life.
An investigation has been launched to get more information. Says Mr George Mokgothu, CEO of Interstate Bus Lines: “Our hearts and prayers go out to those involved in this unfortunate accident”.
