Did you know that a train bus is joined together using a heavy-duty steel coupling and reinforced and anchored using two shackles tied to two 30 mm safety steel cables for added safety?
When combined these two components cost nearly R170 000 for just one bus. These are inspected by the Bus Body Shop every time a bus comes for service. On the attached picture the coupling is the oxblood unit and the safety cable appears in yellow.
