In February 2023, we threw an incredible celebration to inspire and uplift all the incredible women of IBL! It was our IBL Women Empowerment Event, with a fantastic theme of “shine bright like a diamond”.
Our incredible speaker line-up included some seriously inspirational talent. Miss Sophy Kolobe gave us a warm welcome, followed by a beautiful opening prayer from Mrs. Yvonne Mojahi. Mrs. Annelize Van Der Zwaard then read a powerful scripture to get everyone in the right frame of mind.
Following that, our CEO, George Mokgothu, took the stage to share some inspiring words with our incredible guests. We had the talented Ms. Cindy Pillay grace us with her beautiful voice before Ms. Wanda Le Roux took the stage to share her own incredible journey to keep the energy levels high.
In addition to that, Miss Keneilwe shared an inspiring poem that deeply moved us. Our hearts were further warmed by the insightful words of two guest speakers, Ms. Sinki and Ms. Robyn-Leigh Hudson. Ms. Cindy Pillay graced us with another wonderful song, and Ms. Gugu Thebethe delivered the final speech of the day. Miss Sophy Kolobe then expressed her gratitude on behalf of us all.
We all sat down for a delicious lunch to recharge our batteries and celebrate the amazing women in our midst after all that amazing inspiration.
Our commitment to empowering and growing the women of IBL – no matter where they come from or who they are – was at the heart of it all. We believe that anything is possible, and we’re looking forward to all the incredible new beginnings and personal growth that will result from this incredible event. It’s time for all of our ladies to break out of their shells, reach for the stars, and truly shine bright like diamonds!
