Bloemfontein, 02 June 2021 at 13h00: Interstate Bus Lines (IBL) condemns the senseless burning of IBL bus 4064 last night in Section T Botshabelo.
Says IBL CEO George Mokgothu: “We confirm the burning of bus 4064, but fortunately no injuries were reported from that incident. Such acts of criminality have an adverse impact on IBL service delivery and on our passengers’ livelihood. We strongly condemn the irresponsible act that endangered property and innocent lives of our community. We are offering a reward of R200 000.00 to any person that can provide us or the police with information leading to the successful conviction of the perpetrators”.
In response to the vandalization of bus 4064, Interstate Bus Lines has activated all cameras on its bus fleet to assist the police in arresting would-be criminals.
