26 June 2019 is observed as the International Day against Substance Abuse and Illicit Trafficking as an expression of its determination to strengthen action and cooperation to achieve the goal of an international society free of drug/substance abuse.

Members of Nurture Health, a physical rehabilitation, recovery & wellness hospital, executed an awareness activation at the Interstate Bus Lines Phomolong. As part of the programme, Victory Outreach a centre which specialises in rehabilitating and recovering drug addicts and their affected families presented a theatrical play that took viewers on a journey of people struggling with substance abuse and addiction. The play displayed various signs and symptoms of substance abuse and offered mechanism to deal with substance abuse.

There were also some great testimonies from some of the Victory Outreach cast members that overcame substance abuse. As part of the team that visited the IBL depot, there were also therapists who offered advice and handed out some information pamphlets. On behalf of the IBL family, we would like to thank them for their visit and knowledge they share with all of us.
