More than 270 athletes from Free State participated in the this year’s Interstate Bus Lines Glen half Marathon held on 07 May 2016. The marathon started at Tielman Ross Street near the Circle of Raymond Mhlaba road, and finished at Glen Agriculture College Sport Grounds.
Our employees not only participated in walking a distance of 10KM, but others also ran the 21KM race, including ladies, Neo Seiphoro, Ethel Matang and Masabata Ratolo who competed and finished their first Glen Half Marathon.
Participants who completed the race received bronze medals, with the first ten runners receiving gold and the first fifty participants thereafter receiving silver. A lucky draw was also held with winners receiving various other prizes. Interstate contributed R 25 000.00 towards the marathon, that was organized by the Bloemfontein Achilles running club.
