We sponsored the top one-hundred 2016 matriculates in the Free-State province during the congratulatory ceremony at the CUT’s Boet Troskie Hall on the 4th January 2017.
Students, their parents and teachers where overjoyed at their achievements, that had required hard work, dedication and a great deal of study from the students throughout their schooling. Present was the MEC for education in the Free State, Mr. Tate Makgoe, who thanked all who contributed towards this these achievements. Mr. Makgoe maintained that the Free State leads nationally, with province attaining an average student pass-rate 93% and also the first province to surpass the National record of 90%.
In recognition for their achievements, Interstate Bus Lines sponsored R 100 000 towards the students, and it may be noted that some of the top one-hundred students where also participants in the CUT Saturday School and Monyetla projects, other initiatives also sponsored by Interstate Bus Lines.
