IBL Family, what a year it has been.
As we close the chapter on 2025, we pause to reflect on a year filled with unforgettable moments: moments of growth, resilience, celebration and community.
🚍 A year of milestones
IBL proudly stepped into its 50th Anniversary, marking half a century of serving the Free State with dedication and heart. From the launch of new buses to expanded ticketing points and improved systems, we continued investing in safe, reliable and modern transport for our passengers.
👫 A year of community
Through our community newspaper Mopalami, CSR initiatives, school visits, bursary support and sporting leagues, we continued strengthening our bond with the people who make IBL what it is – our passengers.
We celebrated youth achievements through the IBL Netball League, IBL Soccer League and the launch of innovative initiatives like the Unplugged Coding & Robotics Competition.
📱 A year of digital progress
We launched the new IBL App, expanded our WhatsApp Channel and made trip planning, updates and communication easier and more accessible for thousands of commuters.
💙 A year of celebration
Passenger parties across Thaba Nchu, Botshabelo and Central Park brought joy, entertainment and incredible giveaways as part of our 50-year journey. The Big Bonanza Lucky Draws reminded us how special our IBL family truly is.
🕊️ A year of resilience
We also carried heavy moments, especially the tragic accident of 15 November. We honour the lives lost and continued standing alongside affected families with compassion and support. Their memory remains a part of our IBL family forever.
🛠️ A year of growth
New fleet additions, new routes refurbished, strengthened safety measures and continual staff training reaffirmed our commitment to excellence and passenger wellbeing.
