IBL Passenger Liaison Committee

IBL Management hereby informs its passengers that the current Passenger Focus Committee’s term will come to an end on 30 June 2025.

In its place, IBL will introduce a new format of passenger engagement structures called Passenger Liaison Committee (PLC) as per diagram below:

The three approach will ensure that:

  • Passenger concerns are addressed per each area of operation
  • Speedy resolution of Passenger concerns.
  • Direct communication of IBL services to affected areas
  • Build stronger relations between Passenger Liaison Committee and local Operations Teams

Going forward each Committee will meet once a month to communicate IBL service changes and attend to Passenger queries.

Each Passenger Liaison Committee will comprise of at least 8 Passengers (one from each sector), Local IBL Management as well as representatives from IBL Head Office.

Applications are invited from the following passengers from the following sectors:

  • Teachers (1)
  • Students (1)
  • Security industries (1)
  • Office bound personnel (1)
  • Domestic workers &
  • General workers (1)
  • Retail industries (1)
  • Government (1)
  • Health workers (1)

Qualifications Required:

  • Must be a daily Commuter
    Tag must be registered on your name
  • Must reside within the IBL operational area.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Emotionally stable.
    Be able to act with integrity.
    Be energetic and eager to learn.
  • Good work ethic.
    Other requirements
    Sober habits

Committee member disqualification if:

  • No longer travels on IBL buses for a month
    Improper conduct or manner that brings the dignity of the Committee into disrepute.
  • Attends the meeting under influence of intoxication
    Missed 2 consecutive meetings

Allowances for members of the Committee

  • Committee members will receive a sitting allowance of a weekly ticket per sitting excluding emergency meetings.
  • The sitting allowance is at the discretion of the Company and no member is entitled to it.

Application forms are available at our Central Park Help Desk and Thaba Nchu Ticket Office from Friday, 27 June 2025.

All applications must be handed in at our Central Park Help Desk. Applications from the Trusts must be handed in at our Thaba Nchu Ticket office. The closing date for all applications is Friday, 18 July 2025
